This woven bamboo fish trap has been handcrafted by villagers of Central Thailand. It is a detailed work of design and craftsmanship originated from the old Chinese lantern making tradition.
Its woven pattern and the flexibility of the bamboo strips make it very versatile allowing for a variety of shapes. It is possible to compress it and keep it in a spheric shape using simple strings inside as you can see in the first photo where BOTH LAMPS ARE THE SAME MODEL. The slim, oblong shape is the default shape without strings.
The lamp can be used as a main source of light or as a dim light feature in a room, depending on the bulb used.
