CRAFTSMANSHIP
This is a piece of ancient design originated in Teochew lantern making traditions of Southern China and passed down through generations of immigrants in Thailand. The bamboo structure is the skeleton of oil-paper lanterns that adorn temples and houses as symbols of good fortune and blessings, especially during the Lunar New year celebrations.
Made by hand in small batches with 100% biodegradable bamboo – no metal frame, no plastic, no nasty chemicals, just nature and craftsmanship
Each lamp is one of a kind, with its own subtle variations e natural imperfections
Treated naturally to prevent mold and pests. Flame-finished for a splinter-free surface

"These were so great I loved how we were able to have it shipped without the electrical parts attached. We used these for an outdoor garden party and put rechargeable light bulbs in them instead. They worked out perfectly and are very nice quality. I love the fact that you could reshape them into so many different styles. I do wish that they showed a few photos of sizing a little bit easier to interpret but overall these were fantastic."

"Great shipping, beautiful packaging, and a good pendant in theory. I practice, there are several issues we weren't able to remedy: the flexible cord to which the light bulb attaches is slightly and permanently bent, so the bulb is always at an angle inside the pendant; and more importantly, the overall shape of the pendant itself could not be made symmetrical. We got it as close to symmetrical as we could by pulling on the cords inside the pendant numerous times to equalize them, but after much effort it's still lopsided. The pendant is an organic, flexible, and woven form, which is part of its charm, so maybe it's not meant to be symmetrical? Anyway, we did want symmetry and could not achieve it."
