• Each lamp is one of a kind, with its own subtle variations e natural imperfections
• Treated naturally to prevent mold and pests. Flame-finished for a splinter-free surface

CULTURE & HERITAGE
This is a piece of ancient design originated in Teochew lantern making traditions of southern China and passed down through generations of immigrants in Thailand. Contrary to some claims, this was never related to fish-trap baskets common in Southeast Asia. The bamboo structure is the skeleton of oil-paper lamps that adorned temples and houses as symbols of good fortune and blessings, especially during the Lunar New year celebrations.
